Arizona StRUT is a partnership between local high schools and businesses, where students learn new skills by refurbishing used computer equipment. The equipment is then donated to schools and other qualified non-profit organizations throughout Arizona. They accept all computer electronics, and personal electronics such as stereo equipment, DVD, VCR players, etc.Arizona StRUT is a non-profit organization and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation.The closest high school drop-off locations are Gilbert High School (480-497-0177) and Tempe High School (480-967-1661).Equipment for AZStRUT can also be dropped off at Batteries Plus stores throughout the Valley, including the following Chandler location:Batteries Plus – Dobson & Elliott 3014 N Dobson Rd. Dell sponsors Dell Reconnect in connection with Goodwill Industries. You can drop off your old computer equipment at any Goodwill Industries store that participates in the program. Goodwill then ships the equipment to Dell for recycling or refurbishing. Some systems in working condition are refurbished and resold through Goodwill, creating green jobs to further support Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing education, training and career services. In addition, this program al-lows Goodwill customers to purchase modern technology at an affordable cost. Any proceeds from your donation are returned to Goodwill.
